Environmental concern is growing fast in everyone as several places around the world are being ravaged by unusual but natural calamities. It is times like these that goad people to do something about it.
As a household, we can do our share of preserving the environment by using eco friendly products. One way is to ensure that our home insulation is installed properly and well-maintained. If not, we could be wasting precious energy by using the heater or air conditioner more often than necessary. Another way is to harness the energy from our most abundant source, the sun. We could use solar powered outdoor lighting to light up the yard at night. With this, there would be no increase in our electric bill, thereby not using the electricity on the grid, limiting the use of fossil fuels.
There’s an even easier way to help, by using reusable shopping bags . Let’s face it, everyone goes to the store or the mall or to the grocer to buy the necessary things. All or most of the time, when we make the purchase, they’ll put it in a plastic or a paper bag. Some stores charge you for a bag but you’ll have to lug your purchases around until you get home. But by bringing our own bags, we wouldn't have to use the one from the store, limiting waste. It may not seem very much but imagine if we all had the same idea and did our own little share. Surely that would make a big difference.
