Today is the birthday of a friend of mine E who I haven’t heard from or the longest time. Actually he’s the friend of my former boss J when I was still working overseas. I believe they met in a tradeshow several years ago then they swapped business cards and they’ve been working together since. Anyway, boss J invited us all to dinner to meet E and some prospective clients. To make a long story short, we didn’t get to snag that client but I could say that E and I hit it off pretty well. We found out that we have the same hobbies and that he also goes hunting from time to time. He even invited me to go hunt with him when I get to his place. He told me stories of his little hunting expeditions there, there was even a time he came face-to-face with a bear. Now that I’m not very keen on. I haven’t been in circulation when it comes to firearms but he was quick to fill me in on the stuff I’ve missed. It turns out he has a multitude of firearms at his house from Rock river arms rifles, Kimber rifles, to old-fashioned Colt pistols. I wonder how that old big guy is doing. Happy birthday E!
