A few weeks ago, the kids had their well-baby check up at the nearby clinic. We also had our anti-flu shots administered by their pediatrician. Anyway, while we were waiting for our turn, the nurse in her hot pink scrubs took their weight for the doctor’s records. The clinic, small as it was, was filled with people in scrub suits. The nurses, attendants and medical technician were all wearing scrubs, making you feel like you were in an actual hospital.
I used to wonder why workers in hospitals and clinics nowadays were always wearing scrubs as compared before when only the people in the operating rooms were the ones wearing them. But then, I realized that wearing an all-white uniform all day was a little difficult especially when you interact with a lot of people on a daily basis. I myself would be wary of staining my white shirts. Plus, I believe kids would feel more comfortable dealing with people in scrubs, with the different vibrant colors they now come in, especially now that they come in different designs and prints.
