Online Games

Some of my friends are fond of playing online games. They said its fun since you get to meet a lot of people from other parts of the world. One friend even met someone who eventually became her boyfriend. They started playing poker online and when the game is finished, they chat until they get to know each other more until eventually became partners. We were happy for our friend when we learned about it because she’s been looking for a partner and she finally met him. Anyhow, the last I heard about them is that their relationship is going strong. J

Another game that one would like to play is Casino online. I’m sure there are a lot of people who would love to go to casinos to play. Others now prefer playing casinos online for they get to play in the comfort of their own homes. No need to drive and go to the casino anymore just to play. You’ll just stay in your house and enjoy playing.

This set-up is perfect for one of my aunts and uncles who love to play in the casino. There are times that they really want to go but were tied up in their homes or office to do something. There are also times that they feel lazy going to the casino because it is far from their house. But with this casino online, they don’t need to brave the traffic anymore and leave their houses just to play. I’m sure once they heard of it; they will definitely join in the online games. This goes the same to others who prefer to stay at home playing. J

Rewards

Who doesn’t want to get a reward? I know almost everyone wants to get a reward either from doing something great or to just earning points. I’m sure each one of us especially the shoppers uses their cards to earn points and claim for rewards. I’m glad there are also reward cards which you just present to their stores and earn points, and no need for credit cards. These points in return can be converted to cash after you accumulated certain points. I’m sure these days, reward cards or credit cards are earning points since most of the people are busy shopping gifts for Christmas. :)

Grey's Anatomy

During vacation, I was able to watch the episodes of the current season of grey’s anatomy. Thanks to my sister who downloads the episodes that I get to watch them all in one day. As always, almost every episode makes me cry. The episodes that I watched are so good and I hope it gets even better. My twitter friends and I talk about it and how much we love the show. Now I can’t wait to watch them again. :)

HR Orientation

I was on leave last Nov. 10-11 to attend the orientation conducted by the company where I am going. At first I was surprised when I was told that it will be a one and a half day orientation but when I got there, I realized that they really had plenty to discuss.

The company discussed about its vision, mission, policy, table of organization, hr policies, especially on IT, other company benefits, anti-money laundering and emergency preparedness.

I was able to meet other people from different branches and learned about the company where I am going. It made me feel excited and on my first day. We’ll see! :)

Starbucks

Starbucks started their traditional Christmas drinks and stickers last week and one friend already got her planner as early as now. I on the other hand only have one sticker on my booklet. I was able to get a planner last year but was not able to use it. We’ll see this year if I’ll be able to complete the stickers and will get my planner. :)

Fuel Sources

Fuel prices have been steadily going up with no signs of abating. Every time I pass by a gas station, I can’t help but check their prices just to see which gas station sells fuel for less. Of course these are driven by the prices of crude oil in the world market – add to that the present conflicts in Middle East aren’t really helping out. What we would need is another source of fuel.

Everyone would love to find and use alternative sources of energy but realistically, we can’t just turn our back on fossil fuels. Something else to consider is finding new sources for oil. We import a large percentage of our oil from overseas, but I believe we should also take a look at our own territory. For all we know, we may have oil deposits sitting in our own backyard. Thorough research and analysis has found oil reserves in various places like the Bakken formation. It produces hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil a day and various studies have shown that the oil deposits hold billons of barrels. If more oil is produced, that would help drive down the cost of fuels. Aside from oil, if the bakken companies would expand their operations, they could also produce more jobs for the people in the area. That would no doubt greatly improve the local economics. If we could find more sources of oil, and of course considerate drilling techniques, this would surely help is all out in the long run.

One of the most viable sources of alternative energy would be natural gas with its diverse uses among which are power generation, transportation as well as its many uses at home like heating and cooking. We have actually been using natural gas for a long time and the technology is already there. We only have to utilize it to its maximum potential
